Randy Richmond

Randy Richmond holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, a Washington State Professional Engineer license and has extensive experience in the design of embedded digital and microprocessor systems as well as battery-based power system design, specializing in large-format lithium-ion batteries. In addition to custom designs, Randy offers consulting services for marketing, engineering, product testing and education to other RE professionals including RE equipment manufacturers. After working in the telecom industry for nearly 20 years, in 1999 he founded his own company, RightHand Engineering LLC, which makes products for monitoring RE systems.

Randy is also a user of RE systems, including a 10KW wind turbine and a self-converted highway speed Electric Vehicle (EV). He has spoken often on topics relating to data logging, wind siting, EV conversion and Li-Ion batteries at RE fairs including SolWest and MREF.
