Greg McPheeters

Greg McPheeters got started in Renewable Energy in 2001 as a designer of solar, wind, and co-generation systems with EcoEnergies in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was certified as a NABCEP Installer the first time the test was offered. With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University, and a lifelong hobby of tinkering, Greg has always been drawn to the unique challenge of PV mounting systems and components. His racking designs were first used at EcoEnergies, and later at REC Solar where he was the founding engineer of their Commercial Engineering Team. Greg rolled a decade of PV system design and installation experience into the creation of the SnapNrack line of PV Mounting Systems, and Greg continues to be focused full time on continuous innovation and improvement to the SnapNrack line. Greg helped launch the PV Training Program at the De Anza Kirsch Center in Cupertino, CA starting in 2009. He was a board member of the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition from 2001 to 2011, working to make Silicon Valley a better place for bicycle commuting and healthy recreation. In 2012 he was elected to the Executive Committee of the Santa Cruz Group of the Sierra Club with a desire to be more involved with his local community.
