Solar Installation Engineer/Construction Manager
IPPsolar develops, finances, owns and operates solar power generation facilities in large commercial and industrial properties. Our area of coverage is the whole North East, particularly New Jersey.

IPPsolar is looking for a full-time, experienced Solar Installation Engineer/Construction Manager that will assist the team of partners on the technical aspects of projects
Job Duties
• Conduct site visits to qualify sites and collect data for system design
• Design and engineer commercial and industrial solar electric systems
• Communicate with investors and hosts on the technical aspects of projects
• Provide detailed cost breakdown of projects for the benefit of investors
• Oversee installation and manage crew on site
• Put together permit packages, utility interconnection agreements, etc.
• Respond to RFPs from large commercial and industrial users
• Ensure that all solar installations are installed according to quality standards
Position Requirements
• Experience in PV system installation, design, and troubleshooting
• Experience leading a crew in PV installation
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable working as part of a team, self-motivated, flexible, capable of generating ideas and going the extra mile
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
• Registered engineer
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Sketchup or AutoCAD
• NABCEP certified
• Possession of a C10 or C46 contractors license
Office Location
A large portion of the work for this position will be conducted on sites located throughout New Jersey. Office work will be at our office located in midtown Manhattan.
Compensation
Cash and stock, TBD based on experience and skills.
