Participants in this four-week online course will learn how to perform a solar water heating site assessment for a home. The course will cover how to define a site's solar window, interpret solar radiation and temperature data, size a system, identify system components, and determine the best location for collectors. This course contains the same materials and covers the same topics as our face-to-face version and is equivalent to 8 hours (one day).
To receive a MREA Residential Solar Thermal Site Assessment Certificate, participants will need to complete this course, two practice site assessments, pass the written test, and pay a $50 exam fee.
