This course covers the design and installation requirements for residential solar water heating systems in Oregon. Topics will include basic system design, review of system components, system location and layout, installation walk-through, and Oregon solar program information.

The class is designed to provide the guidance needed to become an Oregon Tax Credit Certified Technician (TCCT). Oregon TCCT certification will be granted to those who successfully participate in the Oregon Department of Energy program course and pass the solar thermal exam (held Friday 5pm at SolWest Fair). The class is approved for 8 hours of CEU for Oregon journeyman plumbing licensees.
