This one day class will clearly explain and summarize the intent and application of PV-relevant sections of the 2011 National Electric Code (NEC). The primary focus will be Articles 690 and 705, including requirements for conductor routing and labeling, fuse servicing and disconnects, and arc-fault protection. In addition, code-compliant wire sizing per Article 300, transformerless inverters for ungrounded systems and installation best practices will be discussed. Course provides 8 hours of continuing education for the NCBEEC.
