This 8-hour seminar covers the basics of wind energy for the homeowner who is considering installing a residential or business scale wind turbine, and the professional PV installer who wants to branch out into wind systems. All the fundamentals are covered, including basic wind power theory and math, site evaluation, turbine siting, tower types and height, investment payback, wind turbine designs that do and don’t work, and avoiding wind turbine investment scams. Students who complete the course will receive 8 NABCEP / IREC Continuing Education credit hours.
Note that this class is the second module of Wind Turbine Design and Construction, at the same location following this class.
