Distributed wind energy systems provide clean, renewable electricity for on-site use while providing jobs and contributing to energy security for homes, farms, schools, factories, private and public facilities, distribution utilities, and remote locations.
Workshop participants will learn about choosing a good site for a distributed wind project, case studies of successful projects, opportunities in the region for distributed wind, technical aspects of the technology and a guide to choosing a turbine. We will visit a 100 kW Northwind 100 on the campus of ASU as part of this workshop.
